The Cursed Amulet

Room Story

You travel back to the year 1556. You quickly realize that Hamburg wasn’t always the open-minded world city we know today. For many centuries, witch hunts were conducted in the Hanseatic city! After your journey through time, you find yourself at the height of witch persecution; more people than ever were accused of using dark magic. However, this wasn’t always justified! You arrive in a chapel where once lived a monk who was immortally in love with a young woman. But his beloved has just been accused of witchcraft and arrested. The monk is certain that she is innocent and wants to prove it with a Christian amulet. But he simply can’t find it anymore… Now it’s up to you to prevent the worst by exploring the inside of the dark chapel! Can you find the amulet and prove that the young woman is innocent?

We visited The Cursed Amulet with five 10/11-year-olds and we all enjoyed it very much. The boys found the puzzles exciting, the different rooms and corridors amazing, and the mechanisms cool! Robin, our game master, guided us well and gave small hints at the right moments. Thanks to 'Fluchtweg' for an exciting time travel. We will definitely come back! 5 stars!

Unlike many other escape rooms, the staff here manage to set the mood perfectly with an initial story before you enter the room. Even while solving the puzzles, you don't just get simple hints - everything is presented as if the hint-giver is solving the puzzle with you rather than just revealing the solution. Thumbs up for that. It's also great that there's no time limit and, very importantly... you have a clear goal that marks the end of the room (e.g., find the amulet). We... Mom, Dad & child were all enthusiastically solving puzzles. Would love to come back!

We played 'The Cursed Amulet' with four people. The room was really cool and the puzzles were very diverse. Besides the actual puzzle-solving, you also learn some interesting details about Hamburg's history and the story behind the room. I would have loved to play another room right away.

Adult Supervisor for Children Under 14

General Rules

Our escape rooms offer an exciting experience for children and teenagers from 14 years of age. However, for children under 14, the presence of an adult supervisor is necessary. This ensures not only the safety of our young guests but also enables a better experience for everyone involved.

  • Children aged 14 and over may play alone without supervision by adults
  • Children between 10 and 14 years need 1 adult supervisor per game room
  • The accompanying adult is considered a regular player, counts towards the maximum number of players, and must also pay the admission fee

Why is a supervisor important?

1. Safety Aspect

An adult supervisor can react immediately in emergencies and ensure the children’s safety. This way, parents can be sure that their children are well taken care of.

2. Responsibility and Supervision

Children under 14 need a supervisor who takes responsibility for their actions in the room.

3. Support with Tricky Puzzles

Some puzzles and tasks in the escape room can be challenging. The supervisor can help master difficult parts and maintain the fun of the game.

4. Communication with the Game Master

An adult supervisor can better communicate with our game master and represent the children’s concerns.

5. Behavior Control

Escape rooms can create challenging situations. A supervisor helps maintain calm and supports children in staying calm and respectful even in stressful moments.

6. Responsibility for Damages

If unintentional damage should occur, the supervisor takes responsibility towards the operator.

7. Promoting Teamwork and Quality Time

An escape room adventure is not only a great group experience but also offers a wonderful opportunity for shared, valuable time with children. The supervisor can help guide the group game, promote teamwork, and create unforgettable moments together.

8. Support with Fears

Some children might be afraid of darkness or confined spaces. A supervisor can provide security to the children and ensure everyone feels comfortable.

A Special Experience for the Whole Family!

Our escape rooms offer an exciting opportunity for family outings. Solving tricky puzzles together not only strengthens bonds but creates lasting memories. We look forward to making this adventure possible for you and your children!
